I don’t pretend to know anything about Sarah Palin, McCain’s surprising choice for Vice President.  I admit I was excited about her and yesterday was a huge rave for all republicans.

But I want to hear from you on this one.  Do you think Sarah Palin was a good move for McCain’s party? I don’t want to hear a debate, or your personal views on why you personally would vote for that ticket or not, I just want to know if and how you think it will help or hinder the Republican ticket.

So, let’s get talkin’!

  1. Great move on McCains part

  2. She is going to get eaten alive by Joe Biden. At this point this is not about gender, this is about who can lead, who has more experience and who has the credentials to do so. No soccer mom is going to have these credentials and certainly not a pretty face.

  3. I think Palin is a very poor choice. She is not qualified to step in for John McCain should he be unable to fulfill his term, if elected. As to her “experience”, being a mayor of a town of around 7000 people, and a governor of a state that is smaller in human population than 19 American cities, for a period of less than two years, does not constitute sufficient background for stepping in for the president of the United States.

In re: Obama’s experience, he was a State Senator of Illinois, from a very populous area of Chicago, for 7 years. He has been a United States Senator from a large state since his election in 2004. He has spent the last 18 months letting the entire country know his stand on the issues, and has run a successful campaign against one of the best political machines in the country.

I hope I have not run afoul of your admonition against debate, and have simply presented the facts as I see them.

  4. Thanks for your comments, all of you. Barb, no you’re fine. I want to hear what people think.
